Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Thermal Process Scientist to join our European S&T Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our efforts in ensuring the safety and shelf-stability of low-acid foods. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing consumer well-being through our premium product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Thermal Process Development: Spearhead the development and optimization of thermal processes for food safety and quality.
• Scientific Studies: Conduct in-depth scientific studies, including heat penetration and thermal-death-time experiments.
• Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product design with manufacturing capabilities.
• Process Deviation Management: Manage process deviations and ensure continuous improvement in product safety.
• Project Leadership: Oversee project budgets and potentially lead a team of dedicated professionals.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards.

Requirements

• Experience: Experience as a Thermal Process Scientist or a related field.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Nutrition, Biological Sciences, Food Engineering, or a related field.
• Skills: A strong foundation in formula development and food science principles, proven ability to design experiments, execute projects, and analyze data, exceptional communication and leadership skills, and proficiency in productivity and statistical software.
• Language: Fluent in English, Italian would be a plus.
