About the JobYou will work in our Instrumentation and Control Systems Section, responsible for designing and implementing Instrumentation, Control, Safety, and Monitoring systems for medium, large, and complex projects. As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will develop tasks independently, with minimal guidance, and work will be reviewed periodically by the Automation Leader to ensure objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare project technical specifications in line with client requirements.
- Meet project quality and HSE objectives.
- Ensure timely reporting on engineering and requisitioning activities to the Instrumentation Automation Leader.
- Interface with other discipline engineers and project support functions such as Procurement, Construction, and Planning.
- Supervise and coordinate the activity of a small group of junior/intermediate engineers.
- Prepare, update, and/or check Control, Safety, and Monitoring Systems Architectures, Diagrams.
- Prepare, update, and/or check IS loop calculations and Fieldbus segment calculations.
- Prepare and/or check Automation HW and SW design documents such as I/O lists, interlock logic, and sequences diagrams.
- Prepare and/or check Automation software configuration database including all HW, SW, and communication points, alarms, controllers, trip and ranges, etc.
- Participate in Safety Systems Lifecycle, including attendance at HAZOP sessions and preparation/check of documentation such as Safety Requirement Specification and SIL validation calculation.
- Review Control Systems Vendor Bids and prepare Technical Bids Evaluation.
- Ensure contractual technical specifications are met by suppliers.
- Ensure proper communication with Vendors and technical follow-up of orders.
- Review Vendor Drawings.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Engineer with a Master's degree in Electronic, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering. You should be fluent in English and have a strong background in Control and Safety systems design, fabrication, test, installation, and commissioning phases. Additionally, you should be familiar with international codes and standards such as IEC, ANSI, ISO, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, CSA, UL, API, etc.
