Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the execution of production and logistics plans on the 3rd shift Laffy Taffy lines. This role involves supervising hourly employees and ensuring compliance with FDA guidelines, GMPs, and HACCP/SQF program guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise the execution of production and logistics plans through operators and other hourly labor in production and warehouse functions.
  2. Participate in the development and implementation of plans and policies to ensure compliance in all areas of responsibility.
  3. Operate production lines in accordance with FDA guidelines, GMPs, and HACCP/SQF program guidelines.
  4. Direct and guide operators and their activities in execution of production and/or logistics plans (receiving, processing, mixing, baking, packaging, shipping, etc).
  5. Responsible for shift change management and communication as well as daily production standards and labor reconciliation.
  6. Develop employees to ensure compliance and achieve quality.
  7. Resolve problems and mitigate operational issues that result in negative performance.
  8. Support Lean Training as directed by Operations Manager.
  9. Own regulatory compliance and food safety process, including proper sanitary condition, allergen control, pest control, food safety policy, employee safety policies and procedures, and maintaining MCRS sustainability standards.
  10. Participate in daily food review.
  11. Support and execute relevant projects as needed.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  2. Minimum 2 years experience.
  3. Previous manufacturing experience.
  4. Experience working with SAP.
  5. Understanding of GMP principles.
  6. Process, packing, and mechanical experience strongly preferred.
  7. Experience managing people, with ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Skills
  1. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Effective time management.
  3. Demonstrated ability to manage complexity.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Independent, self-sufficient with a strong sense of urgency.
