Clinical Support Specialist for Vascular Products

Position Overview

The primary objective of this role is to promote the vascular product line by delivering hands-on clinical assistance and education to healthcare professionals. Additionally, the Clinical Support Specialist (CSS) will serve as the clinical authority within the vascular team.

Key Responsibilities

The main duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the vascular product range and associated devices.
  • Provide dedicated service to defined clinical customers, including case planning and support.
  • Be present in the operating room to assist staff in achieving successful outcomes with vascular devices.
  • Maintain daily communication to ensure effective execution of product roll-outs and present new technologies.
  • Identify opportunities within the account to enhance service delivery.
  • Deliver technical training on Cook's medical devices to clinical customers and team members as necessary.
  • Supply the Regional Business Manager, Commercial Business Manager, and Account Specialists with insights on market developments and trends.
  • Offer market intelligence and timely feedback to division personnel.
  • Explore and assess new product ideas, providing relevant information to the Sales Manager and facilitating ongoing dialogue.
  • Ensure all new or updated product information is effectively communicated to customers and the team.
  • Participate in local and international exhibitions, meetings, and lectures, sharing pertinent information with the divisional team.
  • Prepare written reports for the Regional Business Manager as needed.

Collaboration

Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and regional physicians.

  • Collaborate effectively with other sales team members and Cook support functions to provide optimal service to customers and patients.
  • Work closely with the Account Specialist to meet or exceed account or area objectives set by management.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in clinical support is preferred.
  • Familiarity with relevant clinical procedures is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret clinical data effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High self-motivation and initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English and other relevant languages.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and networking skills.
  • Strong numerical aptitude.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for business purposes, averaging 3 to 4 overnight trips per week.
  • Valid driving license.
