About the Role

CIBC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Auditor to join our team. As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting risk-focused audits, advising business units on internal controls, and promoting compliance with CIBC policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk-focused audits to identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Advise business units on the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls
  • Promote compliance with CIBC policies and procedures, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and complete monthly audit reports, quarterly audit reports, and ongoing legal entity reports
  • Work with business units to assess the adequacy of controls and develop realistic solutions to control-identified weaknesses
Requirements
  • Experience in planning and executing audits
  • Comprehensive knowledge of auditing practices, accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and Risk Management principles
  • Knowledge of Retail Banking within a large financial institution
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Professional designation (e.g., CPA, MBA, CIA, FRM, CRMA) or equivalent business experience
