R&D Business Support Specialist

The RINA company is seeking a highly skilled R&D Business Support Specialist to join its team in Genoa, Italy. As a key member of the Consulting Planning, Monitoring & Business Support Division, this role will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning, analysis, and management of research and development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project budget structures and ensure compliance with Programme Financial Rules
  • Monitor project actual expenditures and report to required standards and deadlines
  • Support in administrative and financial coordination of EC funded proposals and Italian national/regional schemes
  • Ensure proposals are prepared, assessed, and submitted to required standards and deadlines
  • Provide financial guidance, support, and accountability throughout project lifecycles

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Economics
  • Several years of experience in financial management, preferably in an R&D or project-based environment
  • Experience managing finances for research and development projects, including familiarity with grant funding, project accounting, and financial reporting specific to R&D initiatives
