About this role

Essity is a leader in the hygiene and health sector, and we're seeking a talented Technical Leader to join our team. This role will involve developing and implementing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance strategies to improve plant efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies for all equipment in the converting area.
  • Manage and guide process engineers and technicians to ensure alignment between technical processes and operational goals.
  • Support teams in developing technical skills according to the individual skill matrix.
  • Manage the spare parts warehouse to ensure proper stock levels and resource optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations, promoting an active safety culture.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, monitoring expenses and keeping costs aligned with the budget.
  • Implement new projects and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with suppliers and contractors.

You will be successful in this role if you have

  • 5+ years of experience in roles such as technical leader, maintenance leader, process leader or similar, preferably in multinational companies in the industrial manufacturing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance systems (predictive, preventive, corrective).
  • Strong skills in planning, organisation, and priority management.
  • Proficiency in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) methodology is a plus.
  • Familiarity with 5S – Visual Workplace and SMED methodology is a plus.
  • Fluent in both English and Italian, both written and spoken.
  • Experience using SAP-PM or similar.
