Senior Systems Designer - Fincantieri NexTech
LOCATION

We are seeking a Senior Systems Designer to contribute significantly to the architecture and implementation of our software solutions within a dynamic and agile framework.

The Senior Systems Designer will engage with various stakeholders to ascertain their requirements, outline the system architecture, and guide the development team in delivering exceptional solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and automate infrastructure as code utilizing tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines through platforms like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to enforce continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) methodologies.
  • Oversee and diagnose infrastructure and application performance leveraging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic.
  • Partner with security teams to enforce security best practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle.
  • Remain informed on the latest advancements in DevOps and cloud computing technologies.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) capacity.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools.
  • Experience in managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of security best practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with product management tools and methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Jira, Confluence).
  • Professional proficiency in English.
