About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Architect to join our team at Kyndryl Italia S.P.A. as a Mainframe IT Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall success of technical solutions from construction, implementation, and system integration in a technology, industry, or business specialty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement optimization and transformation mainframe projects, with a focus on defining target Mainframe Architecture and guiding customers to develop a plan to Optimize or Move off from the Platform.
  • Lead Mainframe projects from the Solution to the Delivery Phase, including application modernization and knowledge of the Microfocus suite.
  • Develop and implement complex projects using z/OS and DB2 technologies, with a strong understanding of system design and ability to navigate fast-paced environments.

Requirements

  • Italian speaker with strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Experience in Mainframe Technical Health Checks, Capacity and Performance Analysis, and Mainframe software and platform upgrade.
  • Strong system design background and ability to adapt quickly to changing technology requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IBM z/OS Professional Certificate and DB2 for z/OS Certified Administrator.
  • Programming Language Knowledge (Cobol, Java) and IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator.
