About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Architect Mainframe to join our team at Kyndryl Italia S.P.A. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall success of technical solutions from construction, implementation, and system integration in a technology, industry, or business specialty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement optimization and transformation mainframe projects, with a focus on defining target Mainframe Architecture and guiding customers to develop a plan to Optimize or Move off from the Platform.
  • Lead Mainframe projects from the Solution to the Delivery Phase, with a strong understanding of z/OS and DB2 technologies.
  • Develop and implement application modernization projects, including Knowledge of the Microfocus suite.

Requirements

  • Italian speaker.
  • Strong understanding of z/OS, and z/DB2 technologies.
  • Experience in Mainframe Technical Health Checks.
  • Experience with Capacity and Performance Analysis - Experience with Mainframe software and platform upgrade.
  • Experience in Mainframe Data Offloading projects.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Strong system design background.
  • Able to navigate fast-paced and rapidly evolving environments.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing technology requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IBM z/OS Professional Certificate.
  • DB2 for z/OS Certified Administrator
  • Programming Language Knowledge (Cobol, Java)
  • IBM DB2 Analytics Accelerator
  • Microfocus suite
