Position Overview
An esteemed international investment firm is seeking a Lead Compliance Specialist to enhance their team. The ideal candidate will possess both the CySEC Advanced and AML certifications, along with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a comparable position within a CIF or brokerage environment. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a well-established organization with significant growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly interpret and implement regulatory updates (AML, Sanctions, MiFID) within the operational framework.
  • Review and refine the firm's AML policies and compliance documentation to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of various corporate entities, including trusts, funds, and UCITS.
  • Analyze potential clients' wealth sources through meticulous financial and documentation scrutiny.
  • Develop detailed economic profiles for both existing and prospective clients.
  • Maintain records of high-risk clients and report any suspicious activities following compliance protocols.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
  • Execute thorough AML screenings and monitor compliance against all sanction lists.
  • Oversee client transaction monitoring to ensure alignment with economic profiles and adherence to sanctions.
Candidate Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar capacity within a CIF or brokerage.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with AML and Sanctions regulations.
  • Possession of CySEC Advanced & AML Certifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet stringent deadlines.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • A degree in Law, Finance, or Economics is preferred.
  • Familiarity with various corporate structures (trusts, funds, UCITS, etc.) is highly advantageous.
  • FSA certification is a plus.
