Job Title: Country EHS Manager

At Siemens Digital Industries Software, we are seeking a highly skilled Country EHS Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of ISO principles and requirements, enabling translation into processes, practices, and action.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply and verify implementation of ISO principles and requirements.
  • Enable translation into processes, practices, and action.
  • Support others in the use of EHS guidelines, instructions, practices, and processes.
  • Know the mutual dependency (Input / Output) of MS elements and corresponding EHS processes.
  • Use and contribute to MS documentation.
  • Have deep knowledge about applicable requirements and regulations in a broad range of EHS topic areas.
  • Understand their implication for business and advise the organization in meeting requirements timely and effectively.
  • Know when and which EHS experts need to be called in.
  • Facilitate the introduction and improvement of EHS-related activities across entire organizational units.
  • Use and combine tools, methods, and KPIs.
  • Understand the processes behind the tool and be able to coach or train others.
  • Contribute to and challenge the development of EHS audit methods and tools.
  • Create EHS audit and assessment programs; be an experienced lead auditor.
  • Establish and maintain high-quality incident management process.
  • Decide on methodologies and manage incidents of high severity.
  • Consult and support responsible management; be an experienced lead incident investigator.
  • Train others on relevant tools and methods.
  • Lead the project according to the budget and results (orientation).
  • Apply relevant methods and tools of project management.
  • Continuously identify project status and challenging situations and define appropriate measures to meet the project's objectives.

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Advanced work experience in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS).
  • Previous relevant Health and Safety experience ideally within data center or large-scale engineering environments.
  • Previous related experience from relevant business.
  • Expert knowledge of in-country legislation and compliance (Italy) is mandatory.
  • At least bachelor's degree in a related occupational safety and/or environmental protection field.
  • Degree in technical education and/or EHS related / relevant fields and/or recognized certificates (e.g. NEBOSH).
  • Member of one or more of the Professional Organisations in Occupational Safety Health and Environment undertaking a scheme of Continuous Professional Development (e.g. IOSH).
  • Expert level knowledge of ISO Environmental management), ISO Occupational health and safety management), management system and implementing / managing management system elements (i.e. ISO Lead Auditor Qualification).
  • Knowledge of ISO Energy management) is an advantage.
  • Evidenced training / expertise in the broader spectrum of Italian EHS topics.
  • In-country native language is essential.
  • RSPP (HSE Responsible/advisor) - Module A, B, C.
