About the Role

As an Area Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for leading a large and diverse team to ensure the success of our operations. This is a hands-on role that requires you to analyze and implement corrective actions to maintain high levels of quality and productivity, while meeting business objectives across all shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of safety and well-being within your team
  • Analyze and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and productivity are consistently high
  • Support and lead a team, handling administrative work and building a strong team culture
  • Analyze performance and suggest process improvements to optimize work and improve customer service
  • Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes

A Day in the Life

You will work shifts and be based at one of our operational sites. Your main focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your site. You will also monitor and maintain process efficiency, prioritizing routine team management and daily operational tasks, alongside other tasks like individual escalations, process improvement work, and wide-scale operational contingency planning.

About the Team

The Customer Fulfillment team is the foundation of our business, handling over 1.5 million orders every day. We are a global team that has scaled up from a humble team of booksellers to a sophisticated team that is always looking for ways to offer a bigger, better product range – delivered quickly and affordably.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or working towards a bachelor's degree)
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Relevant experience in performing data analysis

Preferred Qualifications

Experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership, is preferred. Experience in a logistical working environment and working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment is also preferred.
