We are seeking a highly skilled Federal Tax Associate to join our team at RSM. As a Federal Tax Associate, you will be responsible for preparing complex tax returns, preparing calculations of ASC740 tax provisions, and interacting with clients. You will also be responsible for performing, documenting, and summarizing research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues, as well as remaining up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complex tax returns
  • Prepare calculations of ASC740 tax provisions
  • Interact with clients
  • Perform, document, and summarize research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues
  • Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Some travel may be required

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university
  • Accounting major

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working toward the successful completion of the CPA exam—tax associates have the opportunity to obtain the audit hours required for full certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work effectively on a team
  • Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Range: $63,360 - $75,600

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
