About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Holcim. As a key member of our Environmental Function, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers to meet their sustainability targets and overcome their waste challenges.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Develop, review, and update technical and administrative documentation necessary to obtain export authorizations for alternative fuels and raw materials to Holcim Group Plants abroad.
  2. Ensure the correct registration of flows of alternative fuels and raw materials through dedicated applications and platforms.
  3. Coordinate logistics operations and identify the best solutions for material handling and transport while respecting cost, efficiency, quality, and time parameters.

Requirements

  1. University Degree in a relevant technical field, such as Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Engineering, or Law.
  2. 1-2 years of professional experience in similar positions or technical roles in the Environment Function.

Key Skills

  1. Previous experience in the export/logistics/waste sector is appreciated.
  2. Proven analytical and organizational skills.
  3. Good knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
  4. Knowledge of main IT tools, with familiarity with specific management systems (e.g. SAP) being a plus.
  5. Fluency in Italian and English is a must, with French or German being a plus.

Working Conditions

This role will be aligned with the gained experience in the role/function. Mobility within the Central Europe West cluster (Switzerland, Italy, Southern Germany, and Haut-Rhin) will be required for up to 30% of working time, depending on the respective work situation/project assignment.
