We are seeking a highly skilled Digitalization Engineer to join our team at Franke's Center of Competence (CoC). As a key member of our digitalization team, you will play a crucial role in managing and supporting our Digital Production System (DPS) in daily operation.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with local and global IT departments to ensure seamless integration of digitalization processes.
- Design, implement, and maintain a reliable and efficient communication infrastructure to support manufacturing operations.
- Provide first-level support for infrastructure and production maintenance, including identifying and solving issues with infrastructure layers and providing second-level support for applications such as smartBI and Plant Service Bus.
- Configure new dashboards on user request, add new data models and data sources, and develop and deploy new flows and queues.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including lean manufacturing principles, quality control, and production scheduling.
- Ability to integrate diverse hardware and software components, including PLCs, HMIs, MOM, and ERP systems, into the plant service bus architecture.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, MQTT, and Ethernet/IP.
- Understanding of data analytics concepts and tools to analyze and derive actionable insights from data generated by sensors and devices connected to the integration layer.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools and the ability to instrument applications for monitoring and logging.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services for hosting and managing data generated by connected manufacturing processes.
