Job Description

Job Title: Staff Assistant - Information Management Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Assistant - Information Management Specialist to join our team at the Nato Communications And Information Agency. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of data flow architecture, contributing to configuration plans and inter-connectivity between databases and services, and implementing new tools and automated workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of data flow architecture
  • Contribute to configuration plans and inter-connectivity between databases and services
  • Implement new tools and automated workflows
  • Conduct information needs surveys, data flow analysis, and business process analysis
  • Contribute to the development of process maps, architecture diagrams, data tables, data layers, indexing, and access schemes
  • Coordinate with the operational community to plan data and information inputs and outputs

Requirements:

  • Higher Secondary education and completed higher vocational training in library, information science, management information systems, computer science, or related discipline leading to a formal technical or professional certification with 3 years function-related experience
  • Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training in that discipline leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 5 years post-related experience
  • Experience dealing with information governance, logistics, staff working, information management, and workflow
  • Previous staff experience, including all activities involved in providing assistance to the personal requirements of senior officers
  • Wide experience in communication and information flow and systems in the context of joint operations
  • Experience in systems design to meet specific requirements, compatible with agreed systems architectures, adhering to corporate standards, and within constraints of performance and feasibility

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in information management, planning of operational data life-cycle, management of data and information flow at military organizations, HQs, joint/component/tactical commands
  • Experience with reporting/tasking flows and C2 decision-making processes in deployed and static environments
  • Experience with operational data life-cycle, data structures, dashboards, and systems
  • Experience in design and development of SharePoint applications and workflows
  • Background at least at division level logistics
  • Previous experience in a NATO environment
  • Experience and awareness of NATO information systems and NATO operations in joint environments

  • Expertise in information management systems and processes, and self-propelled drive for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to cope effectively in a demanding multinational operational military HQ

  • Collaborates as required with subject matter experts within JLSGNP, ACO subordinate commands, and agencies to obtain necessary information/analysis to support JLSGNP's data and information needs analysis

Reporting:

  • This post reports to: Section Head (Information Management) - OF-4

Security Clearance:

  • A NATO security clearance and approval of the candidate's medical file by the NATO Medical Advisor are essential conditions for appointment to this post

Contract:

  • The successful candidate will be offered a 3-year definite duration contract within the NATO Agenda 2030
