We are currently seeking a proactive and driven Project Planner for our operations.

Job Purpose
The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and sustain the project schedule to effectively manage the time commitments associated with the project (whether it be a tender, contract, or program).

Performance Metrics

For tenders:

  • Timely delivery of all tender documents required to meet RFP specifications,
  • Prompt provision of schedule analysis for decision-making by the Tender Team, including critical path assessments, compliance with tender strategies regarding contractual milestones, planning risks, mitigation strategies, and a list of objectives.
  • Collaborate with métiers managers and the pre-project team to prepare the engineering schedule based on Bid technical Manager assumptions.

For R&D and Project:

  • Update and consolidate the engineering schedule,
  • Ensure alignment with the overall project timeline,
  • Identify and address blocking points,
  • Propose solutions to adhere to the agreed-upon schedule.

For contracts or programs:

  • Maintain an approved baseline (internally and by the Customer),
  • Provide regular and consistent scheduling updates, including analysis of potential delays and proposed action plans for the project team,
  • Ensure timely delivery of KPIs (On-Time Delivery, documentation, Gate Reviews, sales, cash flow, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

In Tenders:

  • Assess the schedule management requirements set by the Customer (including contractual tools, schedule structure, reporting constraints, etc.),
  • Establish and monitor the tender preparation schedule until submission,
  • Detail the tender schedule utilizing Reference Library templates, gap analysis, commitments from métiers, and the tender strategy of PSO, PDO & PIO,
  • Identify the critical path and associated risks, proposing optimization and mitigation actions,
  • Develop a strategy to ensure compliance with contractual obligations,
  • Participate in defining schedule interfaces with partners and the Customer,
  • Deliver all schedule-related documents on time as per the required standards,
  • Estimate the costs associated with scheduling management efforts.

In Contracts or Programs:

  • Define and maintain the Project Time Management Plan, ensuring it complements any higher-level Project Time Management Plans and the Project Management Plan,
  • For multi-Unit projects, coordinate the project scheduling community (meetings, minutes of meetings, etc.),
  • Detail and update the project schedule based on contractual targets and data from all stakeholders,
  • Propose the project baseline,
  • Ensure consistency among all internal and external stakeholder commitments, managing schedule interfaces,
  • Organize and lead periodic Project Schedule Sessions,
  • Participate in core project team meetings (and/or higher-level Schedule management meetings),
  • Provide timely updates on the schedule situation, highlighting discrepancies between actual performance and the baseline,
  • Focus on early identification of potential delays,
  • Prepare schedule and progress reports for Customers or Lead Units or Partners,
  • Support the Project Manager on all schedule-related issues,
  • Develop and maintain schedule templates for the Reference Library.

Knowledge & Experience Required

  • Background in project management and industrial sectors,
  • Comprehensive understanding of railway products and systems is advantageous,
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in teams,
  • Proficient in conflict resolution and multitasking,
  • Capable of challenging project teams and proactively proposing solutions,
  • Ability to manage schedules and adapt to changing project objectives,
  • Critical thinking and sound judgment skills.
