R&D Systems Senior Engineer

Datalogic is seeking a R&D Systems Senior Engineer to work under the guidance of the System Manager, collaborating closely with the Research and Development team.

The selected candidate will oversee the engineering design and technical management of new product development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess the needs of stakeholders (including Product Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Support Services) to formulate clear functional and performance specifications. Innovate and devise new strategies for system design and integration, engaging proactively with the Product Manager and R&D Manager. Employ systems thinking to enhance product design and development processes, from initial concept through to production and service. Ensure comprehensive Verification and Validation programs are in place for individual components, subsystems, and complete systems to guarantee compliance with functional, performance, and quality standards. Oversee the execution and outcomes of Verification and Validation programs, directly executing, verifying, and validating critical product functional, performance, and quality requirements during the New Product Development phases. Facilitate thorough analysis, requirement definition, planning, and implementation of design modifications during Product Development phases, as requested by stakeholders or derived from Verification and Validation outcomes. Effectively manage costs, timelines, and risks associated with engineering tasks in alignment with project commitments. Coordinate engineering efforts across multidisciplinary teams located in various regions. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders throughout the Product Development Process, including Product Managers, Program Managers, Product Development Committees, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Support Services.

Excellent listening skills to uncover the true intent behind requests often obscured by vague language. Proactive planning and action-oriented approach to prevent issues and maintain control over challenges. Adaptability and flexibility in responding to real situations and engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds and technical expertise.

Requirements:

Education: Master's degree in Engineering. Languages: Fluent in Italian and English. Experience: 4-6 years in a systems engineering role.
