Job Summary:

The Accounting Senior Expert - Financial Operations Specialist is responsible for the constant updating of company accounting by processing records, allocations, management adjustments, and intercompany transactions. This role ensures the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and updating of journal entries, supporting the closing of the general ledger accounts with period-end processing and the external audit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the correct registration of journal entries of the Italian and foreign companies and the related VAT accounts;
  • Manage the preparation and archive of tax returns for the administrative function;
  • Guarantee the timely accounting registration of bank movements in the area of competence;
  • Ensure the correct assets management and related depreciation;
  • Ensure the correct and timely manual invoice issue;
  • Ensure the printing of the journal ledger and VAT registers for the purpose of their electronic storage;
  • Manage withholding taxes and related tax obligations (e.g. certifications (CUR) and 770);
  • Ensure the correct and timely collection accounting and support the AR department in reconciliation activities;
  • Guarantee the constant updating of the bookkeeping;
  • Guarantee compliance with accounting standards and deadlines relating to document requests from the independent auditors and the board of statutory auditors of the two Italian companies;
  • Support end-of-period closing activities in accordance with agreed closing schedules;
  • Perform reconciliation of accounts, bank statements, petty cash, advances, and other accounts payable or receivable;
  • Support the recording, reconciliation, and analysis of intercompany transactions including intercompany payments, cash application, and period-end closing;
  • Develop and maintain reports and files on asset and liability account balances;
  • Ensure compliance with the law and regulations in compliance with the provisions of the control model pursuant to and for the purposes of D. Lgs. 231/01 and the codes of conduct within own area of competence;
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and procedures on occupational safety and hygiene as well as environmental protection within its area of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines;
  • Languages: Italian and English (fluent);
  • Knowledge of the main productivity and collaboration tools (Google Workspace, MS Office-Excel);
  • Knowledge of SAP4HANA software;
  • Knowledge of ITA GAAP;
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger practices;
  • Knowledge and understanding of front-end/ external/ feeder systems and related data flows;
  • Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical sector.
