As a Senior Network Security Engineer at Getronics, you will be responsible for the proactive and reactive management of our network and security devices. You will act on alarms from our network management systems and respond to incidents reported by our customers. Your key responsibilities will include troubleshooting and analyzing incidents and changes, making suggestions to fix and implement solutions, testing and deploying software upgrades or security patches, and working as a full member of our international team.

You will be required to work during European business hours from Monday to Friday, however, depending on the situation, you may need to work outside of these hours on certain occasions.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our network and security devices, including LAN, WAN, and Wireless Environments.

Coordinate with networking vendors to ensure appropriate platform integration and performance.

Make recommendations to senior management on new technologies and products for the enhancement of our network.

Lead and participate in the installation of network systems and equipment for new facilities and expansions.

Test, debug, and analyze performance, and document infrastructure components.

Develop network infrastructure installation procedures to ensure successful integration of systems hardware/software.

Develop and recommend technical strategies and solutions to maintain and/or expand service levels.

Monitor and analyze network performance, and provide results on a regular basis.

Take corrective action to improve data network performance.

Respond to emergency situations and perform effective troubleshooting during production outages.

Assist in guiding, training, instructing, and assisting others at peer or lower levels on technical issues and products.

Act on network incidents reported by our network management tools and customers.

Proactively test and upgrade software on various devices.

Analyze capacity management reports and propose improvements.

Prepare and execute change requests.

Attend the data center for local break and fix as and when required.

Interact with multiple teams, including helpdesk, customer, and service delivery manager.

Make technical advisory to improve customer security environment.

Communicate and raise incidents to third-party vendors and telecom providers.

Propose improvement plans, including technical and human activity.

Propose improvements for our network management tools and configuration.

Analyze reporting before used by service delivery manager.

Understand vendor product and solution evolutions.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years' experience in the networking field with vendor products like Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.

Hands-on experience working in an ITIL structured organization dealing with incident, change, and problem management.

Strong working experience deploying and managing large and complex LAN, WAN, and Wireless Environments.

Expert with implementing and supporting OSPF, BGP, VRRP, and other routing protocols.

Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analyzers.

Configuring network and security devices with end-to-end security in mind.

Configuring end-to-end Quality of Service.

Troubleshooting using traffic analyzers and capacity management tools.

Incident report document writing.

Documentation and drawing updates.

Participating in team and customer meetings.

Knowledge and skills on handling Meraki Wireless/Firewall/SDWAN, Cisco ACI, and IT Enterprise Products.

Understanding to interpret wireless site survey reports.

Execute and tune wireless radio management.

Qualification/Certification requirements:

Technical certifications, at least one CCNP or CCIE badge is required.

Cisco CCIE Routing & Switching.

Cisco CCIE Wireless.

Cisco CCNP R&S / Sec / Wireless.

Cisco CCIE Security.

Fortinet NSE 6 or Higher.

Palo Alto Certified.

F5 Certified.

Meraki Certified Meraki Network Operator.

Awareness ITIL V3 framework.

Italian and English speaking and writing skills, additional languages are a plus (Spanish/French).
