Our Mission
At Intertek, we strive to bring quality and safety to life. We are seeking a talented Junior Inspector to join our Italian team in Naples.
About the Role
As a Junior Inspector, you will be part of our cargo inspection team and will be responsible for conducting inspections and analytical evaluations for the petroleum, mining, minerals, and biofuels industries. You will work closely with our senior inspectors to develop your skills and knowledge, and will be expected to work independently once trained.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cargo inspections and measurements
- Collect and analyze samples
- Verify documentation and prepare reports
- Communicate with terminal, transportation, and client personnel
- Monitor inventory and supplies
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment
- Organize and coordinate work to ensure timely delivery of services
- Verify and communicate results, and record data in appropriate systems
Requirements
- High school diploma, preferably in technical subjects
- Previous experience in the maritime industry is a plus
- Residency in the Naples area
- Proficiency in English
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Availability to work irregular hours, including night shifts and on-call duties
- Valid driver's license
