About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronic Systems Designer to join our team at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. As a key member of our Mechanical WorkShop (MWS) facility, you will be responsible for designing mechatronic parts and assemblies, developing and testing device prototypes, and collaborating with other engineering disciplines to ensure successful integration of their designs with the rest of the system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design of mechatronic parts and assemblies
  • Development, testing and validation of device prototypes
  • Collaboration with other engineering disciplines (electronics, robotics, software) to ensure the successful integration of their designs with the rest of the system

Requirements
  • A Master degree in Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Manufacturing engineering, or a related field
  • Documented experience in device development or product design
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent CAD design skills
  • Strong problem-solving attitude
  • Good command of spoken and written English
