About the Role

We are seeking an IT Engineering Applications Specialist to oversee the development and maintenance of critical engineering applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in high-end PLM, CAD, CPQ, or Digital Documentation systems, as well as a solid understanding of IT systems integration. The successful candidate will lead transformational projects and programs, driving technological advancements in our engineering department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance to key users and stakeholders on technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the delivery of projects and programs on time, within budget, and with uncompromised quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and integration opportunities to ensure our engineering capabilities remain cutting-edge.
  • Conduct fit-gap analyses and advocate for standard solutions while tailoring customizations as needed.
  • Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives and benchmarks to confirm proposed IT solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
  • 2-3 years' experience with high-end Configure Price Quote (CPQ) systems.
  • 2-3 years understanding of BOM Transformation processes (EBOM, SBOM, MBOM).
  • Proficiency in at least one major CAD system, such as Solidworks or Creo, is desirable.
  • Familiarity with at least one of the major PLM systems is desirable (Windchill, Teamcenter, Aras).
  • Programming expertise is desirable.
  • Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proven project/program management capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills, easing effective stakeholder engagement.
  • A collaborative team player with a track record of fostering team success.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • A resilient 'Can do' attitude, driving projects to fruition.
