Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for adhering to HSE requirements, assisting in instrumentation engineering activities, coordinating internal and external resources, and ensuring the safe and successful implementation of process engineering activities within budget and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to HSE requirements and ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist in instrumentation engineering activities, including process measurement, relief, control, and ESD valves, analysers, equipment protection systems, fire systems, and PLCs
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure effective project delivery
  • Develop and maintain P&IDs, coordinate with process engineers to obtain process data, and specify tagged field instruments
  • Review and prepare E&I specifications, datasheets, calculations, load lists, schematics, functional and interlock diagrams, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor drawings
  • Participate in Hazop, SIL, and design reviews, and ensure that changes are documented with approval from the Project Engineering Manager
  • Review 2D drawings, including hook-up drawings, loop drawings, block drawings, JB drawings, area classification, cable schedule, drum schedule, cable routing, instrument location drawings, F&G layouts, and control room drawings
  • Identify risks and opportunities, establish good working relationships, and interface with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 8-10 years of design experience in an engineering consultancy or EPC company, working on industrial plants. The ideal candidate should have good experience in 2D and 3D drawings preparation, be proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent software, and have multi-discipline exposure. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English, are also essential.
