Job Title: Senior Python Developer - Space Industry

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our team at Planetek Italia SRL. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing software solutions for space missions, satellite systems, and data analysis in the space domain.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement server-side applications using Python and web frameworks such as Django or FastAPI.
  • Develop database models and manage database systems, preferably using PostgreSQL.
  • Configure and manage proxy servers like Traefik or Nginx to optimize web application performance and security.
  • Integrate with external APIs to enable data exchange and third-party service integration.
  • Implement caching strategies and performance optimizations to enhance the efficiency of the web applications.
  • Implement security measures and authentication mechanisms to protect the web applications from unauthorized access.
  • Perform testing and debugging to ensure the quality and stability of the backend code.
  • Collaborate with the frontend team to understand and integrate frontend technologies effectively.
  • Utilize dependency management and packaging tools like Poetry to manage project dependencies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Backend Python Developer.
  • In-depth knowledge of Python and web frameworks such as Django or FastAPI.
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS, preferably PostgreSQL, and proficiency in SQL.
  • Familiarity with proxy servers, API integration, caching, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Sound knowledge of security and authentication best practices in web application development.
  • Proficiency in testing and debugging methodologies for ensuring code quality.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies and the ability to collaborate effectively with frontend developers.
  • Experience with dependency management and packaging tools like Poetry.
