Geotechnical Engineer

RINA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its team in the Energy Engineering Solutions Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing geotechnical engineering projects from the preliminary phase to the detailed design.
Key Responsibilities- Develop geotechnical engineering projects, including foundation design, soil-structure interaction, and geohazard assessments.
- Design and analyze foundation and retaining structures, including bearing capacity, settlement, and soil-structure interaction.
- Develop finite element or difference models for static and dynamic analyses.
- Conduct site investigations, including soil and rock sampling, to determine compressibility, strength, and other factors affecting structure behavior.
- Prepare technical deliverables, including technical reports, project performance documentation, and engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project schedules and deliverable timelines are met.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of project development and design.
- Proficiency in geotechnical engineering principles and practices, including foundation and retaining structure design, slope stability analysis, and underground structures design.
- Experience in developing finite element or difference models for static and dynamic analyses.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret results from laboratory testing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
