About the Role

As an Area Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for leading a team that ensures the smooth operation of our Fulfillment Centres. Your primary focus will be on creating and driving a culture of safety and quality, while also overseeing process improvements and implementing changes to maintain high productivity levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a culture of safety and wellbeing
  • Analyse and implement changes to maintain quality and productivity
  • Oversee projects to streamline processes and improve quality of service
  • Analyse shift performance and implement actions to improve operational excellence
  • Collaborate with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices

A Day in the Life

You will work on a shift pattern at one of our Fulfillment Centres, ensuring that it runs as efficiently as possible. Your main focus will be on owning and driving a culture of safety, upholding quality and shift performance standards, and overseeing process improvements.

Customer Fulfilment is the backbone of our business, handling over 1.5 million orders every day. Requirements

  • A degree
  • Relevant experience in people management
  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Relevant experience in using data to influence business decisions
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques
  • Experience working in another logistics environment
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite
