POSITION OVERVIEW

As a key member of the Aman team, the Housekeeping Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager, this role is responsible for supervising the housekeeping team to maintain an exceptional level of cleanliness throughout the hotel. This includes attending to the needs of guests from arrival to departure, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and valued.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Satisfy guest needs and exceed expectations as the top priority
* Project a positive hotel image at all times
* Train and lead housekeeping staff members to ensure they are equipped to deliver exceptional service
* Motivate and develop housekeeping staff to achieve their full potential
* Develop the Aman culture within the department, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork
* Create and oversee schedules to ensure seamless operations
* Attend daily morning briefings with management and hold daily briefings with housekeeping staff on all shifts
* Maintain a housekeeping log book to track progress and identify areas for improvement
* Record guest history and input it into the computer system
* Ensure all guest requests are answered promptly and efficiently
* Ensure rooms are prepared and maintained to the highest standards in a timely and efficient manner
* Conduct daily inspections of arrival rooms, spot-check occupied and 'turn down' rooms, and ensure public areas and restaurants are clean and well-maintained
* Supervise the minibar operation and ensure it is running smoothly
* Responsible for guest lost and found procedures
* Monitor and address guest comments related to the housekeeping operation
* Work with Housekeeping and Engineering Managers to establish a good maintenance program and ensure swift follow-up on any issues
* Responsible for the maintenance, service, and control of all housekeeping equipment, linen, and supplies
* Maintain par stocks for all housekeeping supplies and place orders in a timely fashion

QUALIFICATIONS

* Knowledge of cleaning cart and supplies, washer/dryer, cleaning chemicals, and all other cleaning equipment and materials as necessary
* Must have knowledge of cleaning products and procedures
* Must have experience with cleaning procedures and equipment
* Should be capable of evaluating new supplies and equipment under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager
* Experience in training new staff members and the ability to delegate work assignments
* Must be able to deal effectively and calmly with difficult situations, work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, and prioritize multiple tasks
* Proficient in computer systems, including PMS (partially, HK related) and Microsoft applications
* Good knowledge of languages Italian and English
