As a Field Automation Application Specialist, you'll play a vital role in providing excellent customer service to clients while installing and maintaining diagnostic instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments.

This position is part of the Service organization and will be fully remote. You'll be responsible for:

  • Setting up Laboratory Automation systems based on customer needs and contract specification, working closely with LIS and Middleware Teams
  • Deploying onsite user training to teach customers on the product portfolio under your responsibility
  • Troubleshooting customer issues and finding solutions following internal standard works
  • Supporting the field team to maintain, install, and validate laboratory systems in the field
  • Utilizing critical thinking to resolve technical issues and rapidly repair instrumentation
  • Ensuring the growth of the Field Service Engineers' technical knowledge and managing the flow of technical information between teams
  • Collaborating with Sales/Application/Tender Department to improve customer solutions and routine

Requirements

  • Degree in a technical field (preferably biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or related) or at least 2-3 years of equivalent experience
  • Ability to work different shifts/flexible hours and travel for at least 80% of the time, including periodic travel to other European countries
  • Fluency in Italian and English, verbal and written, to attend trainings and participate in discussion forums and international meetings
  • Strong leadership skills and interpersonal relationships
