Job Description

Job Title: Operational Buyer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operational Buyer to join our team at Oerlikon Group. As an Operational Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing goods, materials, and services to meet the operational needs of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing: Compile demand for materials and services based on purchasing requisitions from departments. Clarify quality requirements and specifications with respective departments. Obtain offers and compare in terms of cost, quality, specifications, etc.
  • Tendering: Create comprehensive tenders in alignment with requisitioners for complex goods or services. Compile offers and forward them to requisitioners. Renegotiate prices and other conditions, if necessary, select the best offer, and prepare the order.
  • Order Execution: Execute subsequent orders under the same conditions. Create orders in the ERP system. Record and track order confirmations. Monitor delivery dates, complain if necessary, clarify quantity differences.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Analyze purchases and savings. Prepare and implement tenders and projects. Support regular reporting on purchasing key figures. Support various internal and external audits for purchasing-related topics.

Requirements:

  • Education: Technical or business education with professional experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience: Experience in operational purchasing. Good knowledge of Italian and English. Sound methodological competence in Purchasing. Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams.
  • ERP Systems: Years of experience in use of state-of-the-art ERP systems, preferably SAP.
