Safilo is a global leader in the eyewear industry, driven by innovation and responsibility. We are seeking a skilled Internal Auditor to join our Global Internal Audit Team in Padua, Italy. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic international environment, acquiring knowledge and experience in business processes. The role requires approximately 20% travel, mostly internationally, with a hybrid working model for the remaining time. The Internal Auditor will support the Global Internal Audit Team in assurance and consulting activities, evaluating the effectiveness of our Internal Control and Risk Management System. Key responsibilities include:
* Performing analysis and testing activities for operational and compliance audit engagements, documenting work in line with audit methodologies
* Participating in audit engagements, identifying and communicating issues, and gaining autonomy in execution
* Ensuring audit findings are documented and formalized in Working Papers
* Identifying and proposing actions to improve internal control activities
* Preparing comprehensive reports reflecting audit results
* Monitoring implementation of corrective action plans
* Executing internal testing activities related to Italian Law 231/2001
* Participating in special projects such as process re-design, due diligence, fraud detection, and business ethics analysis
Requirements:
* University degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Management Engineering
* Professional certification in auditing or accounting (CIA, CFSA) is a plus
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience in auditing, controlling, finance, or business consulting
* Strong organization skills, including ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Analytical skills, with ability to collect, organize, and summarize information
* Ability to work in a team
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Data Analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau)
* Familiarity with SAP is a plus
* Fluency in written and spoken English
* Good interpersonal skills
* Proactive attitude to problem-solving
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
