Job Summary
The Pediatric Specialties and Urgent Care Center at Lee Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team for the Pediatric Specialties Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care and experience while delivering and documenting safe patient care through the utilization of the nursing process in collaboration with the physician, practice leadership, and other care team members.
- Oversee and coordinate nursing care delivered in the practice setting or telephonically, ensuring the care delivered is effective, efficient, and achieves desired patient outcomes.
- Support and guide the care team in collaboration with the practice and physician leadership based on the treatment plan, established clinical nursing practice standards subscribed to by the American Nursing Association, and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act and other regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate proficient utilization of available tools and resources which support the unlicensed and licensed clinical staff including but not limited to: educating, mentoring, competency validation, and evaluating.
- Contribute to the provision of quality care in the office setting through excellence in customer service and utilization of performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
Requirements
- Education: Associates degree from an accredited school of professional nursing required; Bachelors preferred.
- Experience: Office/outpatient experience preferred.
- Certification: Certification in Ambulatory Nursing preferred.
- License: Currently licensed in the State of Florida.
- Specialty Areas: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
