About the Role
Prysmian Group is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Offshore and Platform Engineer to join our Installation Engineering department in the Transmission Division, based in Milano.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute electrical and optical tests to identify faults and diagnose the functionalities of HV submarine cables.
- Develop and implement on-site fault location procedures for optical fibers and power cables.
- Design and oversee cable installation on offshore platforms and offshore wind turbines.
- Provide technical support during the execution phase of offshore platforms and wind towers cable installation activities.
- Contribute to the tender phase by providing inputs to proposal engineers related to area of expertise and lessons learned from previous projects.
Requirements
- A master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or similar degrees.
- Preferably 2-4 years of previous work experience in electrical testing or general platform activities within an offshore environment.
- Fluent in English.
- Availability to travel at short notice for short periods.
- Excellent relationship and teamwork abilities.
- Problem-solving, target-oriented, capable of defining and setting priorities.
- Very good communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to continuous change.
- Eager to learn.
- Previous experience in client relationships will be a plus.
- Knowledge of basic software (Office suite, AutoCAD 2D as a plus).
