We are looking for individuals who share our values and are eager to contribute to our mission. As a Logistic Engineer, you will be part of our Headquarter team in Sant'Agata Bolognese (BO). You will report to the Head of Logistic Engineering and Operations and work closely with the coordinator of Logistic Engineering.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Participating in Simultaneous Engineering Teams (SET) and industrial area sub-projects
- Following sourcing processes with the purchasing department, providing concepts and data within established timeframes
- Drafting and updating documents for supplier nominations and post-nomination bidders
- Planning logistics concepts and material flows from suppliers to Point of Use
- Organizing JIS meetings
- Evaluating economic impacts on single evaluations, product milestones, and related logistic costs
- Tracking product content and assessing impacts on the supply chain and internal processes
- Planning and tracking logistic costs linked to products, defining capacity, milestones, and timing
- Evaluating and planning product investments and warehouse equipment
- Defining packaging materials
- Implementing physical and SAP logistic flows, monitoring, and updating according to incoming/outgoing codes
- Planning packaging: establishing containers, delivery quantities, and material protection
- Procuring logistic equipment: defining specifications, technical checks, and RDA entries
- Monitoring and updating data and personal data in Volkswagen Group Systems and SAP
- Proposing and evaluating solutions for flow and layout improvements in logistic areas
About you
- University degree in Mechanical/Management/Industrial Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in high-volume manufacturing/automotive warehouse environments
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience working with logistic service providers and external suppliers
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience with safety regulations
- Fluent English, Italian, and German will be considered a plus
- Relational skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Strong personality and ability to implement actions/activities
- Excellent communication skills
- Team working attitude and customer orientation
