About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Public Health Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing public health projects in Africa, working closely with government officials and partners to deliver high-impact results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and support partner organizations in implementing reforms to build the capacity of the ministry of health, offering guidance and coaching to the client's team for achieving tangible results.
- Engage directly with local governments and partners, facilitating relationship-building, problem-solving, collaboration, and knowledge management with partners.
- Lead data collection and analytical processes to develop robust recommendations for client presentations.
- Implement prioritized reforms, working closely with client team members.
- Plan and execute stakeholder workshops, ensuring the smooth flow of routine meetings.
- Contribute to the development of client reports and communication materials.
- Build capacity for delivery across sectors through training, coaching, and feedback.
- Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above, Master's in public health is preferable. Otherwise, equivalent requisite working experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with top consulting firms, governments, or international organizations.
- Must have business-level proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Prior experience in a client-facing role in public sector contexts.
- Proficiency in project implementation or direct experience in delivering results.
- Sector expertise in health on the African continent is a plus.
