Production Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Production Planner to join our team at Cielo Talent. As a key member of our Global Operations function, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for guaranteeing the purchasing of finished goods to maintain stock and production continuity, while respecting service level agreements and contracts. You will work closely with our Procurement team to ensure timely placement and delivery of components in line with production planning requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Release purchase orders to suppliers and update the Procurement system to ensure timely placement and delivery of components.
• Reschedule open purchase orders and verify with suppliers the feasibility of changes to suit production planning requirements.
• Inform the Purchasing Department of any changes related to prices or specific requests from suppliers.
• Regularly check the level of products stocked and suggest improvements to the planning and delivery process.
• Guarantee the program release for involved departments and check the status of activities.
• Update the Customer Service and Marketing departments on product availabilities or issues.
• Manage requests from external suppliers in collaboration with Logistics Warehouse.
• Manage purchase orders for indirect materials through the SAP system and prepare and release components orders for suppliers/customers.
• Manage purchase orders for other warehouses.
• Ensure supply and be the key contact for external suppliers.
• Manage emergencies and execute written and oral reminders to suppliers (e.g. shortages).
• Manage extra-demand in collaboration with the Manager and Demand Planner.
• Track supplier performances and share them during VMS meetings with all other functions.
• Participate in cross-functional projects to show and share planning and logistics requirements.

Requirements:

• A degree in Management Engineering or Economics is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in Italian and English is mandatory.
• Previous experience in roles related to Procurement, Supply Chain, or Production Planning.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with a focus on Excel and Access.
• Good knowledge of SAP ERP would be an advantage.
• Green Belt Certification will be a plus.
