Wood is seeking a highly skilled Sub-Product Line Leader Syngas to join its Technology and Product (T&P) Group in Milan, Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the assigned product line and technology portfolio, including research and development, business growth, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and guide the growth, development, and delivery performance for the sub-product line, including the development and implementation of strategy and delivering related business plans.
- Provide guidance and direction to management and support teams in the day-to-day management of delivery, ensuring appropriate controls and governance are in place and ensuring Wood is working to the highest possible standards of integrity, safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Produce solutions to complex strategic, contractual, technical, commercial, operational, and personnel-related challenges that impact customer service and performance.
- Manage ongoing business, responsible for budget setting and delivery, contracts, capacity, and resource management, and capability management.
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, with the ability to understand, interpret, and communicate deep technical issues with potential clients.
- Extensive track record of successful operational and strategic delivery within the relevant industry sector.
- Broad and deep understanding of the industry and strong networking and relationship-building capability.
- Experience of customer-facing communication.
- Strong relevant technical expertise or commercial/business management applied in a technical organization.
- Pragmatic in approach with a strong commercial bias and ability to balance commerciality with operational excellence.
- Understanding of management systems.
- Commitment to identify, analyze, and propose solutions to problems in a constructive and positive manner.
- Entrepreneurial approach - ability to identify opportunities.
- Flexible to respond in agile ways to changing customer needs.
- Strong influencer, negotiator, and mediator.
- Effective communication skills, particularly in writing clearly and concisely with impact and meaning.
- Fluent English.
