Job Title: Electronic Testing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Testing Specialist to join our team at Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. in the R&D Department of Electrical and Electronic Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and resolving problems on EE components, performing EE tests, environmental and functional tests on various EE devices and motorcycles, and preparing the related documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and resolve problems on EE components, perform EE tests, environmental and functional tests on various EE devices and motorcycles, and prepare the related documentation.
  • Design and implement test setups (workbenches, harnesses, small HW-specific circuits, etc.) and test protocols based on the problems encountered.
  • Collaborate with the design team and suppliers during the problem-solving phase of EE components, actively follow up on progress, and promote potential solutions.
  • Attend and/or provide support for electromagnetic compatibility tests at external laboratories.
  • Collaborate with the design team in researching and selecting alternative HW components.
Requirements:
  • Preferably a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the same role.
  • Excellent ability to use laboratory electrical and electronic equipment (oscilloscope, function generator, spectrum analyzer, etc.).
  • Ability to read and analyze analog and power electronic circuits (electrical schemes, sensors, actuators, etc.).
  • Knowledge of major automotive standards (ISO7637, ISO11452, ISO10605, UN ECE R10).
  • Knowledge of analysis methodologies (e.g., FMEA, HARA).
  • Knowledge of CAN networks in the automotive field and related CAN tools (Vector Canalyzer, CANApe).
  • Knowledge of major electronic circuits used in motorcycle control units (DC/DC converter, LED driver, high/low-side smart switch, signal filtering and conditioning, etc.).
  • Knowledge of motorcycle EE architectures and related sensorics.
  • Good autonomy in designing small electronic circuits to verify device functionality.
  • Experience in using simulation tools for electronic circuits and major software programs.
  • Experience in using embedded systems and general-purpose systems (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry).
  • Manual skills and experience in using a soldering iron for wiring, small prototypes, or replacing components, including SMT.
  • Experience in using CAD software to evaluate 3D assemblies (a plus).
  • Ability to solve problems and organize and perform work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Availability for travel.

Knowledge of electric motorcycles is a plus.

This is a full-time contract position.
