About the Role

Boston Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled Energy Consultant to join our team. As an Energy Consultant, you will work closely with senior leaders of leading international and national oil companies, service providers, utilities, regulators, and financial institutions to develop and implement business strategies for clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on impactful projects that combine a deep understanding of the specific business with BCG's trademark strategic expertise
  • Play a role in the growth on diverse topics through case execution and client development
  • Work on top priority topics while gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to understand complex business challenges
  • Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to derive insights and develop strategic recommendations
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and challenges, ensuring that the solutions proposed are tailored to the client's specific context
  • Prepare and present findings, insights, and recommendations to both the BCG project team and client stakeholders
  • Own module, generate value for the client, and adapt the work to changing demand
  • Manage client team members and build client relationships
  • Manage project leadership expectations and mentor and develop junior team members

Requirements

  • 6-9 years of relevant experience in industry with strategic focus in areas related to oil & gas, power & utilities, and/or energy transition
  • Proven time, people, and project management skills
  • Strong academic track record
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English
  • Flexibility, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to travel frequently
