Position

We are seeking a Project QHSE Specialist to join our team in Italy, working on projects in the photovoltaic, railway, and electrical energy sectors. The successful candidate will contribute to the achievement of the Company's and QHSE Team's objectives.

Main Activities:

Health, Safety and Environment

  • Ensure compliance with national, regional, and local legal requirements.
  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of Company policies and management systems.
  • Verify the technical and professional suitability of involved companies.
  • Promote and verify the implementation of Safety and Quality Plans, in accordance with Company requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Verify site safety conditions for Company personnel and subcontractors.
  • Verify that subcontractors perform their activities in accordance with applicable HSE procedures, promoting all necessary actions to ensure compliance.
  • Perform and verify training, information, and training of personnel on Client documents (e.g., PSC), Company documents (e.g., POS), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Explain to operators the risks associated with their activities, the environmental impacts of non-compliance, and the measures to be taken to ensure their and others' safety.
  • Archive and update Company documentation: POS, employee documents, registers, reports, etc.
  • Archive and update subcontractor documentation: POS, technical and professional suitability, qualifications, etc.
  • Manage PPE: support the selection and management of suitable PPE according to tasks, adequacy, and efficiency of PPE in use, and report any identified shortcomings.
  • Perform Operational Controls and regular Safety and Quality meetings, following Company guidelines.
  • Participate in safety and coordination meetings, internal audits, certification body audits, and regulatory body inspections.
  • Manage waste produced by CGI in accordance with applicable legislation and Company regulations, and any additional requirements specified by the Client.
  • Verify correct waste management by involved subcontractors.

Quality

  • Promote and verify the implementation of Quality Plans and procedures, in accordance with Company requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Manage Quality Control activities prescribed by Quality Control Plans (PCQs) applicable in the site:
  • Verify that proof and/or control activities are documented.
  • Attend, when required, the execution of proof and/or control activities.
  • Manage tools and their documentation.
  • Perform the final examination of Quality Control Plan documentation.
  • Ensure the archiving of technical documentation and any required certification documentation.
  • Manage and monitor Quality Non-Conformities (NCs) issued/received in the site: transmit and register reports.
  • Participate in site meetings, internal audits, certification body audits, and regulatory body inspections.
  • Manage and monitor Quality NCs.

Requirements

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering for Work Safety and Environment, Environmental and Workplace Safety Techniques, or similar.
  • 2-3 years of work experience in similar contexts (construction sites).
  • ASPP qualification.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
  • Flexibility, problem-solving, and ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to work independently and interact with various Company functions.
  • Availability for transfers to our sites in Italy.
