Job Title: Space Systems Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Space Systems Test Engineer to join our team at Thales Alenia Space. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and verifying space systems tests and platform test engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and perform tests and designing and procuring test benches
  • Execution of tests on RF and Microwaves subsystems and systems
  • Execution of Platform tests is a plus
  • Analysis, modeling and simulation of Payload test benches functions and performances
  • Definition of validation, methods and accuracy of tests
  • Development of AIT Test Software and Procedures
  • Use and tuning of main AIT software tools (ECHO, E-SCS2, LMO, James, and so on)
  • Supervision of test campaigns and analysis of results
  • Test report and trend analysis
Requirements:
  • Master degree in Telecommunication and Electronic Engineer or equivalent
  • Knowledge/Experience on EPS/AVS subsystems tests is a plus
  • Knowledge/Experience on RF tests including EMC Test campaign is a plus
  • Knowledge of ESA technical standard (at least of the following list) :ECSS-E-ST-20-07C Rev.2(3January2022) (EMC)ECSS-E-ST-50-05C(RF and modulation)ECSS-E-ST-50-02C (Ranging and Doppler)
  • Technical experience about write/understanding of the Payload Test Requirements of a Satellite
  • Technical experience about technical procurement on Payload units
  • Technical experiences about test execution at Payload level or alternatively on Spacecraft level
  • Technical experience on Payload EGSE elements and development on Payload simulator
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, C++, Python, Java, Linux is a plus
  • Knowledge of the operating principles on Telecommunication Sub-systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of measurement instrumentations (Oscilloscope, Power Meter, Spectrum Analyzer.....)
