Thermal Test Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Thermal Test Engineer to join our team at Thales Alenia Space. As a Thermal Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of thermal tests, including thermal balance, vacuum, thermal cycling, and life tests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre- and post-test requirements verification, support AIV plan definition, and testability requirement definition.
  • Manage thermal hardware procurement and support technical office in thermal test special equipment design and procurement.
  • Set up and design thermal tests, create test procedures, and report results.
  • Support facility engineering in anomalies resolution of test means and plan and update overall test operations.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) relevant to thermal setup and test article control.
  • Support technical definition on proposals for bidding, R&D/competitiveness projects, and investments.
  • Coordinate test teams and interface with test programs.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical Engineering Master Degree (II Level) or Aerospace Engineering Master Degree (II Level).
  • Experience in similar job roles.
  • Good knowledge of thermal test facilities, SW control, acquisition, and post-processing, thermal hardware, space systems, and standard ECSS.
  • Ability to work with customers and suppliers, in a team, and for problem-solving using a logical and methodical approach.
  • Good knowledge of Italian and English written and spoken.
  • Availability to work in shifts, during holidays, and on weekends.
