Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our sales team as an Area Sales Manager - Global Excellence. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets in your assigned area and directing the activities of the region's sales force.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Market Analysis and Planning: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential sales opportunities and develop strategies to achieve sales targets.
  2. Sales Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and provide regular updates to the Head of Sales.
  3. Action Planning: Develop and implement action plans to ensure sales goals are met or exceeded.
  4. Team Management: Supervise and evaluate the activities of assigned Territory Managers, providing guidance and feedback to achieve established objectives.
  5. Growth Path Development: Establish a growth path for each Territory Manager, supported by company tools and performance management.
  6. Integration and Collaboration: Liaise with management across the organization to ensure sales objectives and activities are integrated with other business functions.
  7. Policy Compliance: Interpret and ensure policy compliance by direct reports within the assigned region.
  8. Discount Policy Management: Ensure discount policy compliance for sales orders.
  9. Regional Sales Reporting: Review and analyze regional sales reporting to identify product issues, loss of key customers, or competitive sales strategies that negatively or positively affect regional sales.
  10. Communication and Meetings: Conduct regular meetings to ensure constant communication and consistent application of company sales strategy, policies, and procedures with the sales force.
  11. Customer Relationships: Maintain periodic contact with key customers in the region to ensure proper sales service support.
  12. Product Knowledge: Verify the product knowledge of the team and ensure they communicate properly and correctly all product features to clients.
  13. Collaboration and Recruitment: Ensure collaboration across company departments and be responsible for recruitment, selection, and performance reviews of direct reports within the assigned region.
  14. Business Development: Pursue and visit major prospects, potential customers, and key customers to build and maintain business relationships and negotiate terms of sales that maximize regional business interest.

Requirements:

  1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree level with at least 5 years of professional experience and a progressive track-record.
  2. Industry Background: A (Life Sciences) industry background would be an asset.
  3. Skills and Competencies: Energetic, straight-forward, and performance-driven professional with entrepreneurial spirit and strong execution abilities. Pro-active and self-initiative personality with a can-do attitude. Strong negotiating skills and excellent communication skills, as demonstrated in a multi-lingual environment. High level of integrity, commitment, and ethics.
