Our headquarters in Genoa collaborates closely with 11 centers across Italy and two international stations, fostering a truly interdisciplinary environment.
YOUR ROLE
The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team of developers and designers at the iCub Tech facility, where expertise in electronics, mechanics, and software engineering converge to drive innovative research.
This role involves collaboration with Danieli Automation, a prominent player in the industrial automation sector. Together, we focus on research and development in robotics and artificial intelligence, particularly in hazardous industrial environments, aiming to enhance worker safety in the steel industry.
We seek a skilled and motivated robotics engineer to implement advanced robotics control and perception planning techniques in industrial settings.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Creative, proactive, and team-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Matlab.
- Experience with robot middleware systems including ROS, ROS2, OPC UA, or YARP.
- Knowledge in control systems or motion planning for robotics.
- Experience with computer vision technologies and depth sensors.
- Background in working with industrial robots, PLC systems, or automation software.
- Proficiency with simulation tools.
