Job Title: Sustainable & Climate Risk Consultant

RINA is seeking a highly skilled Sustainable & Climate Risk Consultant to join its ESG & Sustainability Division in Italy. As a key member of the team, you will provide technical expertise in ESG & Climate Change related services, including Climate Change Risk Assessments, Paris Agreement alignment, and EU Taxonomy & DNSH.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement ESG strategies, conduct materiality assessments, and deliver CSRD-aligned gap analysis.
  • Assess Paris Agreement alignment, prepare and write sustainability reports, and define sustainability strategies and action plans.
  • Conduct ESG Assessments and Due Diligence, implement climate change risk assessments, and assess EU Taxonomy eligibility and alignment.
  • Develop new opportunities, interact with new potential clients, and contribute to technical and financial proposals.
  • Manage parallel priorities and complex projects, ensuring high-quality and on-time deliverables.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure ESG team priorities are achieved and stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to sustainability.
Requirements:
  • A postgraduate degree in Sustainability or Energy Management is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or decarbonization climate change and decarbonization advisory.
  • Understanding of relevant frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) and reporting standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian (C1 level), other languages an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated passion and interest in driving environmental and social change through business.
