MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions, a business unit of Element Solutions Inc, is seeking a highly skilled Director of Operations Europe to lead our regional operations in the EU and UK. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of our regional Chemical Production sites to ensure compliance with internal and external safety, quality, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct Management of Site Managers: Oversee and directly manage site managers within the region, ensuring alignment with company objectives and standards.
- Direct Budget Responsibility: Manage all manufacturing and logistics costs (OPEX), capital expenditures (CAPEX), and working capital for the region, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Environmental, Health, and Safety Standards: Ensure manufacturing facilities operate at the highest environmental, health, and safety standards, complying with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Quality Standards: Ensure facilities meet the highest quality standards, complying with relevant certifications (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and maintaining quality management systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement in quality performance, facilitating the sharing of lessons learned and optimizing operations.
- Degree qualification in a science or engineering discipline.
- 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the Operations field.
- Experience managing Quality in complex, varied manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience of Lean and Six Sigma Continuous Improvement techniques.
- A passion for Quality performance and Continuous Improvement.
