Job Title: Process and Construction Safety Lead

Location: Rieti

Objectives/Scope

Support the management of EHS compliance requirements for the Rieti site.

Ensure the safety requirements of construction sites and processes for the Rieti site.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contractors entering the site with technical and professional requirements control in accordance with D.lgs. 81/2008 and art. 26.
  • Control documentation for contractors entering the site, supporting site managers in executing safe work.
  • Field controls to verify the suitability of activities based on received documentation.
  • Training and information provision to contractors on procedures, and review of safety and coordination plans for construction sites.
  • Redaction of safety analyses for new processes and equipment (HaZOp analysis, Zurich Analysis, etc.) and follow-up of actions defined with process project managers.
  • Promote the EHS by Design program, supporting the Engineering department in its implementation.
  • Project management of specific EHS improvement projects.
  • Management of documentation and legislative compliance for fire prevention and explosion risk for the site.
  • Preparation and realization of training plans for safety and environment in accordance with legislative requirements and company needs, particularly for fire and explosion risks and ATEX classification of working environments.
  • Provision of training on valid Environment, Health, and Safety procedures in the Rieti plant.
  • Management of the Near Miss and EHS event registration and reporting system, and the Beacon system for EHS incident management.
  • Root cause investigation and analysis of events, identifying high-risk areas and frequent root causes, and identifying improvement plans.
  • Update of SOPs in collaboration with colleagues on new legislative requirements or GOP.
  • Conducting Gemba and EHS inspections to verify that all safety measures are applied and functioning correctly, proposing necessary improvement actions and defining CAPA (corrective and preventive actions) to be implemented in the site and within construction sites.
  • Management of safety devices for work at height and explosive substance control when required for site maintenance.
  • Collaboration for defining and planning actions for maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification.

Dimensions and Aspects

Technical/Functional Experience

  • Experience in EHS management and control, particularly as RSPP.
  • Knowledge of EHS technical regulations and ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 19011 standards.
  • Experience in process safety (HazOp analysis and other risk analysis), fire prevention (knowledge of regulations), and ATEX (environment classification and explosion protection documentation).
  • Project Management.

FORMATION AND COMPETENCES:

  • Master's degree in Technical-Scientific Disciplines, preferably Engineering.
  • Preferred ASPP or RSPP certification module C.

  • Discreet knowledge of written and spoken English.
