Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Domain Manager to join our team at Thales Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing all IT infrastructure operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the IT infrastructure team, ensuring the delivery of services in line with business requirements.
  • Supervise the production of services, including studies, roadmaps, run support, expertise, architecture, configuration management, and CMDB.
  • Optimize IT resources, ensuring the efficient use of hardware, operating software, and basic software.
  • Position requests for changes (initiatives, projects, MCO, etc.) in an existing and evolving business environment.
  • Guarantee the system's reliability and apply emergency and backup plans.
  • Ensure that computer processing is carried out in the best possible conditions in terms of quality, deadlines, and costs.
  • Check the reliability of systems operated for business and data security, defining contingency plans and ensuring their application.
  • Coordinate the processing of data in the best conditions of quality, deadlines, and costs.
  • Organize information in the event of a disruption and disseminate the information needed to carry out the job.
  • Make proposals to ensure that production resources are maintained at an appropriate technical level and anticipate technological developments and their impact on the design of the production environment.
  • Monitor service contracts in your field, working with the Contract Manager and the Sourcing Department.
  • Coordinate, manage, and lead the staff in your unit, drawing up and monitoring the workload plan.
  • Distribute the workload, in terms of volume and timetable, according to forecast changes in the workforce and skills of your unit.
  • Direct, organize, plan, and control the business unit's activities, negotiating the entity's objectives and resources.
  • Oversee financial management (recurrent and project), ensuring compliance with budgetary procedures.
  • Ensure that projects and applications within your domain of responsibility are consistent with those of other domains.
  • Draw up and monitor performance indicators, analyzing and proposing solutions to continually improve the productivity of your unit.
  • Capitalize on and structure knowledge to make the IS easier to understand, integrating different points of view.
  • Facilitate dialogue between business players and IS/IT players, promoting the use of IS mapping by business units through consultancy and communication activities.
  • Organize information in the event of a disruption, disseminating the information needed to perform the job with the application domains and the business line.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in IT infrastructure management, with recognized expertise in LAN, WAN, and WiFi networks, hosting, data storage, and backup.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital workplace and local and help desk services.
  • Ability to manage a team of 20-25 people in 5 different countries, as well as managing telecoms infrastructure suppliers and end-users effectively.
  • Dynamic, proactive candidate capable of taking strategic decisions in line with the company's objectives.
  • International experience and a culture of operational excellence.
  • Managerial and leadership skills.
