We are looking for a skilled Buyer to join our team at Alstom in Rome, Italy.

Role Purpose:

Deploy commodity strategies for installation activities subcontracts in the Signaling and Infrastructure business, ensuring project execution aligns with QCD objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement supplier relationships:

• Identify project and business needs
• Prepare and launch Request For Quotation with suppliers
• Negotiate cost reductions with suppliers
• Provide input for order placement and ensure QCD targets are met

Manage initial issues before escalation to line manager

Respect Alstom Transport code of ethics and guidelines

Commodity support on site:

• Consolidate commodity needs
• Participate in commodity strategy and panel elaboration
• Support the Commodity Manager in the tender phase
• Represent commodities towards projects, platforms, and solutions
• Collaborate with internal customers and stakeholders in problem-solving

Apply Alstom Sourcing processes and provide valuable insights

Involvement in projects/tenders:

• Work closely with sourcing project/tender representatives
• Ensure work package commitments are respected
• Meet QCD targets

Requirements:

3-4 years of Buyer experience

Strong negotiation skills in subcontracting

Knowledge of installation activities environment

Experience in Signaling and Infrastructure/Civil works companies is welcome

Business school or Engineering degree

Fluent English and international background is a must

Good interpersonal skills
